Ice-Cream Swirls

Foxy and Smarties Ice Cream

It has been hot off and on here this week. However, there were one or two rainy days that made the temperature drop exceedingly and all I wanted to do was watch Christmas movies and eat popcorn. There is that American tradition of “Christmas in July”, you know…

But, it has gotten warmer again and today my fur has truly heated up as I basked in the sunshine to take a nap. I knew the only way, I was going to cool off was to eat some ice-cream. Lucky for me, Jennifer was on her way to run some errands and kindly agreed to pick up a tub of something cool and ambrosial for me to delve into.

She came back with a tub of whipped vanilla ice-cream that was covered in Smarties. There is nothing better than ice-cream with a little candy on top. I just jumped right in, whiskers first and it was delicious!

I don’t even think I will eat dinner tonight, I just want more ice-cream. But, maybe this time with some chocolate syrup and sprinkles! Heaven!

Happy Fourth of July

GiGi and Foxy 4th of July

We would like to wish you all a very Happy Fourth of July! GiGi and I shall be stuffing ourselves with amongst other things, grilled hot dogs, homemade macaroni salad, baked beans and a ton of other fixin’s. There might even be a seed spitting contest with the watermelons (only I will participate in that, GiGi is far too much of a lady to ever consider doing such a thing)!

I can’t wait for the sky to darken around us, so the fireworks can begin. We have the perfect spot picked out to nestle down on our old farmhouse quilt and watch the starry sky fill with the sparkling, dazzling, lights of the fireworks, as we happily eat the peach cobbler that GiGi made, alongside lashings of vanilla ice cream. I am licking my whiskers just thinking about it!

The Adventure Begins

Please join Goose Girl & Foxy in celebrating the opening of their new blog space. The adventure begins today….

Meet & Greet

Introducing GiGi & FoxyI would like to introduce you to Goose Girl & Foxy. Some of you may already be aware of their adventures and have met them here.  But, today is a historic day. Having very sweetly asked for their own blog I have happily obliged and provided them with one.

I am not always sure what they get up to when I am not around, so this will serve as a place for them to set their adventures down on paper.

They are pretty easy going by nature, so I imagine their blog shall be as well. No rules, it will just evolve as time goes on, because that is what Foxy feels should happen.

So, stay tuned, there are adventures yet to be had and stories yet to be told…

Goose Girl

Meet Goose Girl:

Goose girl was born on a farm in the Cotswolds. She comes from a long line of Goose women, but she wanted something more. She loved Art and growing up she could often be found sketching the scenery and the geese she should be tending to in an Impressionistic style (she has a true love of Monet and visits his home in France whenever she can).

An opportunity arose for her to take Art History classes in London and while on the train down she met Foxy.  The two unlikely friends hit it off immediately and decided to stick together.  She loves museums (primarily the Victoria & Albert Museum), rainbows, gardening and riding her bike through London as often as she can. She travels around the world with Foxy any time her schedule allows it.

Foxy

Meet Foxy:

A country boy at heart, Foxy grew up in the hills of the countryside, living a very simple life. But, the call of the “Bright City Lights” became too much.

He’s now a central London kinda chap and loves nothing more than to stroll down to Camden Market on a Saturday and take in the view of the lock while munching away on delicious food from one of the many vendors (noodles are his genuine preference). He loves to go antiquing; collecting fox figurines is a particular hobby of his, especially if they are in riding attire.

He adores nothing more than visiting a good museum, reading a book, going on an outing to the zoo, having dinner with Goose Girl, or GiGi as he fondly calls her and travelling around as often as his busy schedule allows him.

The Flying Scotsman

The Flying Scotsman came to visit me today (well really he came to see Goose Girl) and I showed him the lovely yellow roses my sweet red-headed Scotsman gave to me!

May Day

HAPPY MAY DAY!

Goose Girl & Foxy decided to invite their friend, The Flying Scotsman over for a little dance around the Maypole celebration! They all had a wonderful time!
