Snapped this from my train window as I headed home from work tonight. It felt like Spring for a little bit there, but now the sky has clouded over and it looks like it will rain at any moment. But that’s okay! The taste of Spring for those few moments was enough to sustain me.

I’m co-teaching a pinhole photography course this term and we have moved away from our coffee tin cameras to shoebox cameras.
One of the girls was having an issue with her camera. After inspecting her developed prints, I fixed what I thought was the problem and then I took a test shot myself to see if I fixed it and got this after doing a double exposure:
I never grow tired of this process. It is plain and simple magic!
We had a wonderful, wonderful weekend and I have so much to share, but this has been a completely manic day. So, for now, I am posting another snap of my gorgeous tulips. Hope you are having a happy Monday!
It was chilly this morning and a mist hung heavenly in the air, clinging to anything it touched and shrouding the world around me like a fine lace.
My train pulled into the platform and the driver hadn’t even turned on the lights yet. It made my ride very atmospheric, as we go through a number of tunnels. The darkness was calming, I could have just kept on riding, listening to my tunes and watching the world go by. I snapped a few photographs of the mist as we rode along, it was a magical morning.
There was a bit of light this morning when I left for work. I could see the cows lazing in the pasture on the dew laden grass as the train scooted by. The air was chilly, you could see their breath hanging above their soft heads. The fields were covered in mist, that ribboned around the trees, giving the pasture a haunted appearance. All the signs of Spring coming to England.
After rain for much of the day, the skies cleared on my journey home and soft peach and pink and lemon yellow clouds filled the sky.
As the train whirred by I snapped these photos, all in a blur and haze, which is how I mostly see the world on my train travels.
This was my Good Morning.
It feels like Spring is starting to arrive to little ole England. We have had a few days this week where you can feel it coming. The light is brighter the shadows are changing, bringing a small taste of what is to come.
But colder weather is returning again this weekend, you can feel it already. The cottage was very chilly this morning. Yesterday the sun was streaming down, this morning the sky is dark and a stormy powdered steel. It has been raining steadily since very early this morning. The back and forth of the weather isn’t giving the plants a lot if chances, they all seem a bit confused.
I walk by this tree every day and it has had blooms on it all through Christmas and is still blooming now.
Its branches are dotted with miniature cotton candy pink starry shaped blooms. They are so delicate. I shot this with my IPhone and I liked the fact that I wasn’t tall enough to get the blossoms in full focus, it kept putting the branches in the background in focus, it gives it almost an ethereal appearance.
I love this tree! It’s these little things along the way that make you smile, drops of beauty scattered throughout your day, if you look for them.
