Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can. ~Danny Kaye
Today I share my “Writing on the Wall” piece with a heavy heart. Jennie’s Kitchen, by Jennifer Perillo, is a blog that I read on a regular basis and this week when I saw her “Last Dance” post, I thought what an odd title. I watched the video of a father sweetly twirling his daughter around like a princess and thought maybe the title refers to the song they were listening to.
Sadly, it was more prophetic than that, it was Jennie letting us know, that that was Mikey’s last dance. Her husband unexpectedly past away this past weekend and I mourn for a woman and a family that I don’t personally know, yet I feel I know her through her blog.
Jennie, you are in my thoughts and prayers as you find the strength to continue on for yourself and for your family. Let this be a lesson to us all, life is so sweet, so precious, don’t let it slip through your fingers, hold close to what is dear, and remember to say “I Love You”, because you might not get that chance again.
