Hello, March! I’m not quite sure where you came from? February was a beautiful, crazy, stressful, exhilarating blur of colour. We’re officially at the start of a new adventure and this month, March, we’re going to hope you help us find our groove along this path.
We’re ready to explore more new to us places. We’re ready to keep seeing the golden sunshine bursts of daffodils dotted around, heralding Spring’s upcoming return. We’re ready for long strolls by the river, watching the swans and geese and discovering hidden gems.
We’re ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in new surroundings. But, my Nana’s Irish soda bread will still be gracing our table. It wouldn’t feel like St. Patty’s Day if we didn’t have that. We’re ready to keep cleaning and organising, as we work on carving out a space of our own.
We’re ready to continue to embrace the seasons. I don’t think Lady Winter is quite ready to let go. But, March is supposed to be blustery, a month that blows the cobwebs away, so that everything is fresh and ready for Lady Spring’s arrival.
Welcome, March! We’re excited to see what magic you hold for us as we continue to find our groove to the beat of a new tune.

Hello, March. We’ve already started moving into “spring cleaning” mode and dusting away the cobwebs of winter and that shall continue as this month progresses. I find it extremely satisfying to deep clean and reorganise a space, it’s a freeing experience for the mind and soul. You are mentally and physically decluttering.
We’re ready for Lady Spring to begin to fully come into her own this month. Nature’s signs are all around us that spring’s pending arrival is upon us. We’ve already spotted snowdrops and purple and egg yolk hued crocuses dotted around on our strolls. Frogspawn has filled a favourite pond almost to the brim and we look forward to the hundred of tadpoles that will soon be swarming in amongst the lily pads.
We’re ready for more sunshine filled days with a frosty crispness in the air. We’re ready for the start of Lent and the season of reflection that walks in tandem with it.
We’re still chilly here and will be for awhile yet, so we look forward to eveningtide where we sit over a hot cup of tea with lemon and honey and share a few cookies between us while jibber jabbering away.
We’re ready to keep the records spinning and dance in the kitchen while we make dinner. We’re ready for St. Patrick’s day and the “Wearin’ ‘O the green” and my Nana’s Irish soda bread flecked with juicy golden raisins and caraway seeds that will grace our table.
We’re ready to continue to embrace the seasons, enjoying the riches that each gives us. Welcome, March, we stand ready with open arms for all that you bring.

Hello, March! You bring us a slow awakening of the earth this month as we prepare for spring. There are already signs that the world around is starting to stir with daffodils and snowdrops blossoming and the few nests we have stumbled upon in the beginnings of being built with twigs and thread and bits of hair.
We’re ready for the days to slowly get a little longer, one by one, inching along. We’re ready for walks through the woods where treasures await to be discovered and our forest friends come out of their homes after a winter’s nap. We’re ready for more hiking adventures and the possibility of a picnic in the glen.
We’re ready to wear the green and celebrate St. Patrick’s day, to slowly move through this season of Lent with time for reflection and to celebrate life in the moment and all that it has to offer. So, here’s to seeing the sunrise on our morning walk, dinners by candlelight, music, dancing around the house and the joy of taking in and being aware of the world around us and the beauty that it has to offer if we only look.
