This was my view yesterday morning from the bedroom windows. The rays made the snow sparkle and glow like fire as the sun beams slowly touched the blanket of white.

The Christmas lights are twinkling, the snow is gently falling and we are wrapped up under blankets watching White Christmas, with our breathtaking picture window view of the river in front of us! The lights from the buildings around us, are sparkling in the rolling river. The water bus just passed by, with the Danish flag flying, right next to a Christmas tree they have propped up in the back. I LOVE Copenhagen! Look, how stylish they even wrap up surprises! A little gift to me from Mr. Michie.
Merry Christmas! Or, as they say in Copenhagen, “God Jul!”
Bruno Mars makes me HAPPY! Mark Ronson’s latest song, Uptown Funk, features him. There’s a special little person who I do a lot of dancing with when this song comes on the radio. We both just LOVE IT! Happy Monday.
Yesterday, while picking up a few last minute surprises, we noticed that one of our favourite little churches was holding their annual Christmas tree festival. We went inside and the smell of fresh pine filling those cool stone walls was divine!
A number of local organisations and schools had all designed and decorated their own trees, it was homespun and very sweet. The Ladies Guild was running a mini cafe with all profits going to the church. It was filled with delicious two to three tiered layered cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, hot coffee and tea. The tables were decorated for Christmas as well with evergreen, holly and candles. It was simply a festival of happiness!
The second best part of our day was stopping by another favourite haunt on our way home. BBQ for dinner on a frosty night, when the beer is cold and the BBQ hot, nothing could be better!
I spent the day by myself wandering in and out of my favourite London spots. I had a bit of Christmas shopping to do and my path took me from one end to the other. I passed the lego reindeer in Covent Garden:

And I treated myself to an afternoon showing of “It’s A Wonderful Life” at the Prince Charles Cinema. Which is one of the greatest little movie houses in the world! It was bitterly cold outside, but I was snuggled up with popcorn and a coke watching an old black and white Christmas movie! It was a day of bliss!

I love when we get to have totally un-interupted time together. We even went past a Christmas Party Bus on our way home, too cute!
Today is my first day off from school! I’ve spent my morning drinking tea, reading a cozy prairie Christmas story, cleaning and hanging out with Gertie! She’s pretty good company. Although she prefers hot chocolate and marshmallows instead of tea, but that’s pretty easy to fix, I’ve even topped her little mug with whipped cream and a few green sprinkles, much to her delight!
