Month: March 2012 (page 2 of 2)

Tomorrow…

It is only Tuesday and already this week has taken off like a kite dipping and diving in a strong wind.

I had a little post, I was working on for you, but that will have to wait as I am teaching another chemical photography class tomorrow afternoon and I have been busy with my final preparations for that.

I am so excited to see what they will come up with. We will be making photograms, first in the style of Man Ray and then I will have them create a digital collage from the work of 3 photographers I like and intertwined within that, will be slices from one of my favorite poems. The digital collage piece will be printed on to acetate and then we will make a photogram from it.

So, much is whirring in my head, I am finding it hard to find a little peace, but, I like staying busy. Off, I go, as my kite just caught another updraft…

Staying Cozy…

Mr. Michie is working, I have been “Spring Cleaning”, since we “spring” forward tomorrow and we are just staying cozy, because there is a chill in the air.

I think I shall reward myself for a cleaning job well done, by doing a little shopping, I have a few surprises I need to pick up at Cath Kidston and if you go there, you never know what else might jump into your basket.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend, wherever you are!

**OOPS! I must be more eager to Spring Forward than I thought! I just read my calendar wrong, it wasn’t little old England that was springing forward this weekend, we still have a bit more of a wait!

Moonrise Kingdom

I saw this trailer a few months ago and lately (this week) it has been popping up everywhere. So, I thought I would share it with you.

I really like Wes Anderson. His films are delightfully quirky, odd, funny, serious, witty… Whatever he puts his hand to, to me, comes out just right.

In particular and one of my favorites: The Fantastic Mr. Fox. He brought that book to life with a lot of love and humor and a truly eccentric quality which all of his films seem to have, besides a great cast, superb use of language and wonderful fashion.

His newest movie, Moonrise Kingdom, appears to capture all that he is known for and all that I love about his style. I can’t wait to see it! Enjoy!

Crank It Up!

It’s Monday! Crank up your music, tap your feet, dance wildly and passionately around your house. Let that music seep into your pores, because we have survived the first day of the week and we are that much closer to the weekend again!

The Weekend!

Let’s toast the weekend, because it has been a whole week coming and is a well deserved two days; no matter how jammed pack they will be, they are all our own!

Have a great weekend!

Moo-Ving into March…

We are Moo-Ving right in to March. What happened to February? This year is already going by so quickly, it is starting to blend together like Bert’s sidewalk paintings did in Mary Poppins once they got wet.

I am ready to just have a moment to be able to catch my breath. One day soon, it will happen, I am sure of it!
