The "Bobbi"

I think we might all need need a new “do” for summer and this car to go along with it, what do you think ladies? I’m loving this Rosemary Clooney, “White Christmas” bob, too cute!

Luke’s Diner

There is rain steadily pouring outside of my window, the warm weather has now turned cool and in order to function this morning, I think I need to head on down to Luke’s Diner and meet Lorelai and Rory for a giant cup of coffee and some pancakes, or chilli cheese fries, or a doughnut as big as my face.

Alas, there is no Luke’s in my town, he exists only in Stars Hollow on the set of The Gilmore Girls and after a day like yesterday and how my morning is already shaping up today, I wish I could move right into that TV neighbourhood and I could have Rory’s pink striped couch… That couch just looks HAPPY!

A Cozy Nook

Well, Mr. Sunshine has gone away for awhile, it looks like he will be on vacation all week by the weather reports, so the rain is here to stay.  When it is raining like this, I want nothing more than to curl up on the couch with a good book!

This image looked like a cozy nook to curl up in and just read the day away. You can see the window from the bed, which I like because I stop reading and just day dream on rainy days like this and if you got too cold you could drag the rocker over to that adorable stove.

And on a day like today as Summer begins to fully blossom (even in the rain) I would be reading an old favorite, “Anne of Green Gables”. I wanted to be like Anne when I was growing up, I had quite the imagination, so it wasn’t a far stretch to pretend I was Anne Shirley who lived on the second floor of Green Gables with a window that overlooked the pastures, with my best friend and kindred spirit Diana Berry living just a short cut through the fields.

Like Anne, I too am moving on to new adventures, I am going to be working in a school this coming fall. I will get to put my degree to good use working in the Art Department of a local school and I am so excited and nervous and looking forward to this next bend in the road. It isn’t as quaint as Anne’s one room school house in Avonlea, but I will have my own nook to make cozy and I can’t wait!

“When I left Queen’s my future seemed to stretch out before me like a straight road. I thought I could see along it for many a milestone. Now there is a bend in it. I don’t know what lies around the bend, but I’m going to believe that the best does. It has a fascination of its own, that bend, Marilla.”

Tweet, Tweet

I have finally joined the world of Twitter this weekend and I am trying to figure it all out! If you tweet, please hop on over and give me a shout out! You can follow me @JenniferMichie

Hope every one is having as sunny of a day as we are in London, I hate to go back into work, it is one of those days where your feet need to carry you off into the words and find comfort in the rush of a cool stream with the sand wiggling under your toes!

Harry

I was asked a few days ago to make two bears, for a new little person named Harry and his big sister, Dora.  The bear design was picked over the bunnies, one pink and one blue, with their names embroidered on the back for them.

They are wrapped up with candy striped tissue paper to go into the post this morning (I should have dressed them in rain coats and wellies with the awful weather we are having!) and I hope they make their new little people very happy! Even though Harry is too teeny for a visit from the Tooth Fairy, I know it will come in handy one day!

Welcome to the World, Harry!
