A Nice Spot

It is raining here today. It has been raining and cold most of this week, it always does when we have a break from school. I know on Monday morning, it will probably be streaming with sunshine, but that is okay, when the weather is like this, we just stay inside a little more and stay cozy.

I found this image this morning and thought, this would be a nice spot to stay for the day. To pack a picnic, fall asleep in the little treehouse to the sound of the water, cool your feet off, while you swing and stay just late enough to see the fireflies comes out. Yes, this would be a nice spot to just be.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and get to find at least one nice spot to just be in!

W.I.P.

A miniature inchworm that is a “work in progress” in one of my many little ongoing projects this week.

This little worm, will be going to someone very special!

Jubilation

Today marks the end of the Jubilee celebration. We went in to central London on Saturday to do a little sight-seeing and catch the Damien Hirst exhibition at the Tate Modern. It started out rainy, but turned into a deliciously sunny day before the rain came back in the evening.

The Flying Scotsman came along with us, though we didn’t get to take as many pictures of him as he wanted, because my gorgeous union jack shoes from one of my very favorite shoe stores, busted open a healing blister on my heel, that is now the size of Texas.

So, that led to a lot of limping, almost some tears and a trip to TopShop for a pair of flip-flops courtesy of Mr. Michie.

After that we headed to The Diner for dinner and a beer and spent a good bit of the evening in there, eating, drinking, dancing and chatting. The 80’s tunes were just pumping Saturday night, so that made for a wonderful atmosphere.

We did manage to take a few pictures of the day and here they are:

my wonderful union jack shoes

a new ring from Mr. Michie for our anniversary, isn’t it just FUN!

the flying scotsman in my local Cath Kidston, they just redecorated and it was really cute

Calendar of the Month

Scout Creative has done it again. This sailboat just says “Summer Time” to me, doesn’t it say that to you?

I think I might print one out and make it for the cupboard. I have no windows in my little space, so this would definitely cheer my desk up!

If only I could use it and its little plaid sail, to cruise off to a clam bake on a Friday night with twinkle lights, good music, cold beer….

Getting Ready…

The whole town is getting ready for the Jubilee weekend. I love seeing all the flags flying!

This weekend, we are going to be busy picnic-ing, relaxing and watching the festival.

Have a great weekend!
